Daniel Beaudette, CRPC®

After graduating from the University of Rhode Island with a degree in finance and management, I started my own business as the president of a franchised video rental store, which became Blockbuster Video. For over 22 years, my team and I grew that store into a six-store chain in southeastern Massachusetts. After realizing the needs of my employees and other small business owners, I transitioned into the financial services industry to help these individuals create, implement, and monitor their financial plans.

I have lived in Rhode Island my entire life. After several years at a national brokerage firm in Providence, I made the “big move” from the Blackstone Valley to Aquidneck Island to join Black Point Wealth Management in December 2012. I am now one of the happy residents of the beautiful island of Jamestown.

A critical part of a client’s investment planning is preparing for retirement. After meeting rigorous professional standards and passing a comprehensive examination administered by the College for Financial Planning, I obtained the Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor® (CRPC®) designation. I have also completed training from Commonwealth Financial Network® on administering and advising retirement plans. I hold FINRA Series 7 and 66 securities registrations (through Commonwealth) as well as life and health insurance licenses.

My wife, Estelle, and I met in the fourth grade, and we have two daughters. Lauren followed me into the world of finance and works for a private equity firm in San Francisco. Nicole followed me to URI, where she is studying to be a pharmacist. I couldn’t be prouder of all they have accomplished!

During my free time, I volunteer as president of the local alumni housing corporation at URI’s Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity, where I mentor undergraduate students. For over six years, I have participated in Big Brothers of RI. I truly hope my mentee, Noah, has gained as much as I have from our relationship. I like to golf, but golf doesn’t always like me! I am a member at Pawtucket Country Club. This year, I began “running.” I use the term loosely—more like jogging. But I’ve completed three half-marathons! Can a full marathon be in the future? I’ll keep you posted.

My team and I are excited to meet with you to decide if we are a good fit! We will explain our strategies, discuss the factors involved with managing risk, and review the expense for our guidance. If you are interested in discussing your financial goals with us, please contact me directly at (401) 264-4004, or e-mail at
